(ECNS) -- Three giant pandas, Tian Bao, and twins Bao Di, Bao Mei, born at Belgium's Pairi Daiza zoo, will return to China this year, the zoo announced on Tuesday.
"Our three 'baby' pandas, cherished by all since their arrival, will leave Pairi Daiza in 2024," the zoo posted on its facebook account." Although their departure is difficult to imagine, we know that the return to China of Tian Bao, Bao Di and Bao Mei will help strengthen efforts to preserve this vulnerable species," it added.
The zoo plans to organize special events to celebrate their birthdays and bid farewell to the three be-loved giant pandas.
Their parents Xing Hui and Hao Hao arrived in Belgium in 2014. Hao Hao gave birth to male giant panda Tian Bao in June 2016 and twins Bao Di and Bao Mei in August 2019.
